Vessel Joint Ownership Plan
“The concept is simple and the plan unique.” Owning a Motoryacht has many pleasures attached to it and is one of the greatest ways to spend leisure time with family and friends. It combines relaxation with adventure and opens up a world explored and experienced by just a few. We have created an opportunity to enter into the world of Motoryacht cruising beyond your wildest dreams. Imagine cruising the beautiful waters of the Hawkesbury River or perhaps the Whitsunday Islands in your new Clipper. Until now perhaps this has only been a dream for you because of the cost associated with doing so. Maybe now there is a way to bring that dream to reality. Due to a number of enquiries in relation to “boat share type arrangements” we decided to put a plan in place, whereby an opportunity to own a Clipper Motoryacht, would become available to those who were looking for a smaller investment and /or, were restricted in their ability to use a vessel all year round. Any number of individuals can come together in a partnership to purchase assets and many people have already done this. Whilst the method of acquisition can be a good solution in certain cases, it can also have its drawbacks. In creating our “Vessel Joint Ownership Plan” we have endeavoured to address most of these drawbacks whilst utilising the advantages and have included a whole range of added features such as asset protection, dispute resolution, effective exit strategies and usage management rules. For further information on this exciting new plan, please contact Andy on (07) 3890 5000 or email .

Great Sandy Straits This waterway is situated between Rainbow Beach and Hervey Bay and is protected by Fraser Island. The waterways offer numerous locations to safely anchor. But you must be careful, as the region is tidal, the current can get quite strong. The area offers protected beaches, tidal creeks and small islands. With dugongs, turtles, dolphins and a variety of birdlife, there will be no shortage of things to explore and see. The straits are very popular with boaties ranging from houseboat enthusiasts to Yachties. There are so many great places to stop at from Rainbow Beach with its surf beach, towering cliffs and coloured sands and Tin Can Bay with its hand feed dolphins. Just a little north of Tin Can Bay is Kauri Creek, this is a great place to shelter if the wind blows up. All of these townships have convenience stores and shops to stock up on supplies and fuel. Or you may just want a break from the water and enjoy a meal at one of the local establishments. You might decide to drop anchor at one of these spots or motor all the way up to Hervey Bay, which boasts a magnificent marina. Fishing is a must through this area, boasting a large variety of species and it is well know for its sand and mud crabs. Check the local tackle shops for bag limits and if there is any fishing restrictions. The area is a protected dugong reserve and of course the northern tip is where the humpback whales take a well deserved break on their migration back to the south pole. There are strict rules regarding approaching the whales so ensure you are up to date with these before entering the area between July to October. The Great Sandy Straits offers a diversity from almost untouched beaches to tourist hubs. It’s would make a great cruise with the kids or grandkids and get back to nature.
